Paul Collingwood Going Knee Surgery After The World Cup

Paul Collingwood is having keyhole knee surgery at the end of England's World Cup campaign.

The drummer of 34 years, Durham, who retired from Test cricket after the recent Ashes triumph, struggle to regain his best form in one-day internationals. He had tests on both knees during the course of stuttering England in Group B, but will be available for selection in Saturday's quarter-final against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

Surgery immediately after the tournament, and it is probable that Collingwood is a significant number of Indian Premier League this year, the acquisition of the Rajasthan Royals.

Collingwood has played in four matches of England group of six, but was dropped for South Africa and Caribbean Games, which both won.
