India Vs Australia Super Eight Battle

On the eve of their crucial Super Eights match, Australian skipper Michael Clarke is not unduly worried by the presence of quality spinners in the Indian ranks, saying his batsmen are equipped to negotiate them.

"India have got a lot of talent and they are a great side. They have some good spinners. Harbhajan is a world class bowler. But then every team plays spinners differently and we are not perturbed. We have batsmen who can play spin pretty well. We will see how it goes tomorrow," Clarke said on the eve of the crucial match.

India have a flock of spinners in Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja and part-timers Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh who have proved effective in the past.

Mourinho Moves on From Coppa Success

The Coppa Italia is history for Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho.

Less than 24 hours have passed since the Nerazzurri's 1-0 triumph over Roma in the Coppa final at the Stadio Olimpico and the Portuguese boss is telling his players to "move on".

"Our first dream has been realised," said Mourinho.

"I am satisfied not just for me but for the joy of the Inter fans. I can now say that I have won all the national cups in the teams I have coached in.

"We have already won it so we must move on.

"We have a final at the San Siro against Chievo and we have to forget immediately about the Coppa."

Mourinho has indeed found success at every stop in his career, whether it was in Portugal with FC Porto, in England with Chelsea and now in Italy with Inter.

At the ICC Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament, the group stage is over and it’s now time for the Super Eights. The T20 Super 8 schedule is below and consists of the top two teams from each group of the group stage.

Ten years on, Zaheer Khan has emerged successful, matured, intelligent seamer who uses the conditions to the hilt to get maximum results.

Along the way, he has shouldered the responsibility of spearheading the Indian attack and mentoring young fast bowlers. But Zaheer is enjoying every moment of his responsibility.

Sri Lankans face off Zimbabwe in perform-or-perish Game

With their campaign derailed by a defeat against New Zealand, Sri Lanka face a battle of survival against a confident Zimbabwe in their second Group B match of the Twenty20 World Cup on Monday.

In their opening match, Sri Lanka had done most things right till the last over. The Islanders posted a good score on board and defended it well before Nathan McCullum stole the match with a six off Lasith Malinga in the final over.

Muttiah Muralitharan being Ruled Out T20 World Cup

Muttiah Muralitharan, cricket`s most prolific bowler, has been ruled out of the remainder of the Twenty20 World Cup after injuring his groin in Sri Lanka`s two-wicket loss to New Zealand.

Team physiotherapist Tommy Simsek said Muralitharan had strained his right adductor muscle and would need up to three weeks rest, the Sri Lankan cricket board announced Monday on its website.

Muralitharan`s injury is a major setback for Sri Lanka`s chances in the competition. No replacement has yet been named.

Australia Beat Pakistan in T20 World Cup

Opting to bat, Australia posted a decent 191 though the score could have been bigger had they not suffered a dramatic collapse in the fag end.

Shane Watson (81) and David Hussey (53) were the architects of the huge Australian total as the duo put on an aggressive 98-run partnership for the third wicket.

Australia then defended the total comfortably as they bundled out Pakistan for 157 exactly in 20 overs at Beausejour stadium.

India crush South Africa with Raina's Super Performance

England Beat South Africa in Warm up T20 World Cup

England batsman Eoin Morgan steered the Three Lions to a five-wicket win against South Africa in their final warm-up game before the Twenty20 World Cup.

Morgan scored 63 from 62 balls, as England recovered from nine for three to chase down the target of 126 with three balls to spare.

The left-hander came to the crease with the team in trouble, as Michael Lumb (four) and Kevin Pietersen (0) had fallen in the first over to Rory Kleinveldt before Craig Kieswetter (five) departed to Morne Morkels.

Morgan also shared a crucial 71 run stand with skipper Paul Collingwood, who scored 22 off 26 balls, to play the supporting role, The Telegraph reports.

Earlier, South Africa chose to bat first, but was restricted to 125 for five by some excellently tight new-ball bowling from Ryan Sidebottom and Tim Bresnan.

The bowling saw Graeme Smith, normally the most robust of players, require 13 deliveries to open his account, while Loots Bosman (10) and Herschelle Gibbs (one) both went cheaply.

Australia Won Against Islands in T20 WC Warm ups

Australian opener David Warner scored his second successive half-century to guide his team to an thumping 101 run victory against Windward Islands in their final warm-up match ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup.

The Australian side batted first upon agreement, and Tim Paine, Daniel Christian and Nathan Hauritz played for Windward Islands - presumably to make a game of it.

Warner scored 51 from 41 deliveries in Australia`s score of 189 for eight. He struck five fours and two sixes and dominated an opening stand of 57 with Shane Watson (17), The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Windward Islands replied with 88 all out, as fast bowler Shaun Tait (2-19) and spinner Steve Smith (2-15) grabbed two wickets apiece.

The Australian score was also bolstered by Twenty20 specialist David Hussey`s quickfire 49 and skipper Michael Clarke`s 30 from 23 balls.

Warner goes into Australia`s Group A clash with Pakistan on Sunday in top form after blasting 72 from 49 balls in Tuesday`s one-run loss to Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Trounced Defending Champions Pakistan

Zimbabwe were struggling for 64 for 5 in the 12th over, but Elton Chigumbura`s exciting knock of 49 not out from just 35 balls saw the Africans post a respectable total of 143 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Pakistan started on a positive note with wicket keeper Kamran Akmal hitting a blistering 37 from 27 balls, but wickets kept falling from the opposite end, which reduced the defending T20 World Champions for 67 for 5 after 10 overs.

Pakistan`s hopes were revived by some sensible batting by middle order batsmen Fawad Alam and Misbah-ul-Haq, who added 51 in 7.4 over for the sixth wicket, but pacer Prosper Utseya removed both the set batsmen in space of three deliveries.

Chigumbura shone with the ball as well taking 3 for 16 in three overs to help his team register its second consecutive win in the warm-up matches.
